Sea level rising and flooding in the future
In the present day, climate change is the main problem that the world is facing. It affects all over the world. Therefore we concern about this problem and would like to spread this idea to make people realize and understand the cause and effects of this issue. In this project, we create a VR experience to experience a new kind of environment under the future condition of living. Due to the climate change, we want to tell how it affects to our life through virtual reality technology and allow people to interact with each scenario environment that designed to narrate the story of climate change and our living in the future.
We narrate the story of the future environment, which affects climate change by starting from cause to effect. It starts from the rise of temperature that made iceberg melting. Then, the sea level is rising and impact on the river level in the city. From this point, it can be a cause of flooding.
In the flooding time, people need to find a way to survive in this situation by using many solutions. We want to explore the way people live with flooding and apply this kind of sense to simulating in VR space to make people engage and see what will happen due to climate change. So we want to use these elements in the VR scene to build engagement of space and flooding situation.
